Following years of live performances, the Sibelius Piano Trio made its recording debut with volume one in this series, showcasing Sibelius and two other composers. The trio follows the same formula on this second installment, once again prominently featuring the ensemble's namesake. Violinist Petteri Iivonen, pianist Juho Pohjonen and cellist Samuli Peltonen are each internationally acclaimed soloists; when they combine forces the results are predictably electric.
