This final volume in a series from pianist Cédric Pescia displays Schumann's development and eclecticism on works that span more than 20 years. In between, Schumann explored all the great genres of his time: after devoting himself exclusively to the piano for nine years, he opened himself to other styles including the Lied, symphonic and chamber music. He returned to the piano at the end of his life, although he had never really abandoned it entirely.
