UK Albums Chart - #38, 1975 UK Singles Chart - #8, 1981 - No Woman, No Cry "... possibly the greatest superstar to visit these shores since the days when Dylan conquered the concert halls of Britain." - Melody Maker "... the material is also choice ... unlike most live albums it's graced by distinct sound and economical arrangements and the tempos force both singer and the band into moments of wild, unexpected intensity ... A-." - Robert Christgau "... a song collection of pointed lyrics, political chants and funk grooves ... (No Woman, No Cry) remains the definitive version of the classic song ... even the mic feedback that echoes over the first verse has become imbued with emotion." - Rolling Stone "... this seminal live document captures almost exactly the point where both roots reggae and Rastafarianism finally entered popular culture ... the band at the peak of their powers with a set list that held absolutely no low points ... no one before this had combined both roots and R&B in this way ... remains a key text in understanding why Marley is justly regarded as such a musical alchemist." - BBC Music First released in late 1975, this live album was recorded during Bob Marley's sold out two-night stand at the Lyceum in London in July that same year. A highlight is the seven minute rendition of No Woman, No Cry, posthumously issued as a single that even cracked the UK top 10. While the original LP only included songs from Marley's second show, this deluxe edition contains the entire set played each night, with 14 tracks never heard until now. Rolling Stone ranked the 1975 version at number 34 on its list of the 50 greatest live albums of all time.
192 kHz / 24-bit, 96 kHz / 24-bit PCM – Tuff Gong Studio Masters

This album is a high-resolution digital transfer of material originating from an analogue recording. It may contain noise, distortion or other artifacts, and may also contain audio which is limited in bandwidth and dynamic range, due to the technology available at the time of its original creation. As such, it is offered as a high-resolution documentation of a historical release.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
