Pianist Alon Goldstein is joined by American chamber music ensemble the Fine Arts Quartet and special guest Rachel Calin on double bass for the world premiere recordings of these chamber versions of two of Mozart’s greatest and most popular piano concertos. To make the two works more accessible to the public, 19th century composer Ignaz Lachner left the piano parts untouched and wrote splendid string quartet transcriptions of the orchestra parts with added bass. These arrangements sound almost as natural as if Mozart had transcribed them himself.

96 kHz / 24-bit PCM mastered in 192 kHz / 24-bit PCM and 5.6448 MHz, 2.8224 MHz DSD In order to achieve the most accurate reproduction of the original recording we tailor our process specifically for each project, using a selection from our pool of state-of-the-art audiophile components and connectors.The process begins with a transfer to analogue from the original 24-bit / 96 kHz resolution master, using cutting edge D/A converters. The analogue signal is then sent through a high end tube preamplifier before being recorded directly in DSD 5.6 MHz using Merging Horus/Hapi In and the dCS Vivaldi Clock. All connections used in the process are made of OCC silver cable. Each format (96 kHz, 192 kHz, DSD 2.8 MHz, DSD 5.6 MHz) was created using Merging Horus/Hapi A/D converter, calibrated to the required format and a dCS Vivaldi clock. 2xHD mastering: René Laflamme and André Perry 2xHD executive producer: André Perry
