Cédric Pescia makes his second contribution to a unique series of complete piano works by Schumann, a genius who never ceased to fascinate, surprise and move listeners. The Swiss pianist recorded this fifth volume in the middle of winter 2010 in a magical, snow-covered Berlin, performed on a New York Steinway built in 1901 whose rich sound quality is subtly and naturally suited to these fascinating pieces.
