The debut album from Minneapolis metal band Villain of the Story follows a string of singles, EPs and lineup changes going back to 2014. Wrapped in Vines, Covered in Thorns was recorded in the spring of 2016, produced once again by Johnny Franck, formerly of Attack Attack! The first single Dragon Sickness was premiered in August 2016 to widespread acclaim, followed by the second single Promise Me.
