UK Albums Chart - #1, 1989 Billboard 200 - #21, 1989 UK Singles Chart - #18, 1989 - This One UK Singles Chart - #18, 1989 - My Brace Face Grammy Award nomination - Best Engineered Recording, Non-Classical, 1989 "Critic's Choice ... McCartney goes back to the future by returning to his old Beatles label and collaborating with a shrewd, spiky co-writer, Elvis Costello ... both these lads (are) in top form and the entire album has a buoyancy that has eluded McCartney for years." - TIME "Four Stars ... McCartney's best solo album in more than a decade ... McCartney's clear and disarming personal vision marks the most haunting moments ... when he allows himself to be intimate, he can be an especially poignant artist. The best moments of Flowers In The Dirt showcase that intimacy." - Los Angeles Times "Four Stars ... McCartney set out to hone his edge ... and he succeeds to a significant degree ... McCartney comes alive on this album ... new tunes that can ably hold their own alongside his standing repertoire. In the case of one of the finest songwriters in the history of rock, that's no mean accomplishment." - Rolling Stone Paul McCartney's 1989 release Flowers In The Dirt represents the culmination of 18 months of work involving a vast range of collaborators, from a very prominent Elvis Costello to Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and producers from Trevor Horn to David Foster. The effort paid off: hailed as a comeback, the album peaked at number one in the UK, spawned three top 40 singles and earned a Grammy Award nomination. The original tracks were remastered at Abbey Road Studios for this reissue, which was personally supervised by McCartney himself.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
