Antal Doráti was an influential Hungarian-born conductor, composer and music educator, whose prolific career with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Hungarica spanned over 600 recordings. This release features Dorati’s interpretations of Prokofiev, Kodály and Bartók, three of the 20th century’s most significant composers hailing from Eastern Europe.
"The three components of life are rhythm, harmony and melody, and music is the only art which really puts these three elements into the fore."
- Antal Doráti
