“A superb choir marks its 50th anniversary in style with this disc of music that it has commissioned over the years. Even choral buffs will find new discoveries here, most of them exquisitely sung.”
- BBC Music Magazine
This recording presents a programme of pieces performed by the Exon Singers at sung evening prayer services held at Buckfast Abbey, Devonshire. All of the works, by composers such as Robin Holloway, Richard Wilberforce, and David Briggs, were written for the choir, and together form an exultant celebration of a rich English choral tradition.
