Diverse and innovative pianist and composer Vijay Iyer presents Far From Over, a dynamic release from his sextet comprised of Graham Haynes (cornet, flugelhorn), Steve Lehman and Mark Shim (saxophones), Stephan Crump (double bass), and Tyshawn Sorey (drums). Known for their genre crossing and boundary pushing sound, this album is an improvisatory team effort which skillfully moves from the musically contemplative to the ecstatic, and many emotional states in between.
