Following Jimmy Greene's 2014 album Beautiful Life, which was inspired by Greene's daughter Ana's love of singing, comes Flowers - Beautiful Life, Vol. 2, this time drawing from the joy Ana took in dance (she was tragically killed at Sandy Hook in 2012). The original compositions on this second volume are therefore appropriately infused with energy—evident in numbers such as Stanky Leg—though there are also more contemplative tunes such as Someday, making for a moving tribute to a vibrant life.
