The holidays have always been about celebrating the season with good friends, good times and great music. For nearly two decades, saxophonist Dave Koz and his talented friends have taken the celebrations on the road with an annual series of Christmas concerts. In that same collaborative spirit, on The 25th Of December Koz assembles some of the most prominent pop and jazz artists of the last several decades, including Stevie Wonder, Johnny Mathis, India.Arie, Eric Benét, Gloria Estefan, Kenny G, Richard Marx and Trombone Shorty.
"I wanted this album to be like the best holiday party, to make listeners feel like they had been invited to my house, along with all these phenomenally talented artists. I pictured us all retiring to the living room after dinner, where there's a big grand piano and everybody got up and did a song and I played a little bit of saxophone with them. With this album, I wanted to reaffirm the ties that bind us all."
