Award-winning violinist Tianwa Yang is showcased on this album of violin concertos composed by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, accompanied by the South West German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Baden-Baden and Freiburg under the baton of Pieter-Jelle de Boer. Features the world premiere recording of the 1924 Concerto Italiano, a tuneful, fresh and transparently scored concerto considered the composer's first truly symphonic venture.
