"... time disappears and you get so swept away ... an essential live performance for fans of Oscar Peterson and jazz in general."

"... probably the most consistently impressive album in terms of performance and sound quality. Waltzing Is Hip is up there with On A Clear Day for exuberant joy: Durham's solo is full of flair and energy. - All About Jazz

This release is one of several albums Oscar Peterson recorded in Germany at private shows for small, invited audiences between 1963 and 1968. The Way I Really Play, a 1968 session, features Peterson's trio of Sam Jones on double bass and Bobby Durham on drums and documents Peterson’s exquisite playing style in near audiophile sound, the original master tapes carefully optimized in a pure analogue mastering process. This album has also been released under the title The Great Oscar Peterson on Prestige!

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
