This recital, recorded live in 2012 in the superb acoustics of London's Wigmore Hall, is essential for chamber music connoisseurs. Maria João Pires is partnered with Antonio Meneses, cellist with the Beaux Arts Trio. The album features a collection of standard works from the repertoire, including the Songs without Words by Mendelssohn, Cello Sonata Op. 38 by Brahms, and the eternal Arpeggione sonata by Schubert.
