"... haunting harmonies combine with the spooky nuances of country baroque production for an album fit for a horror film ... ethereal vocals and cherubic charm that the duo asserts a singular identity for their Americana peers to reckon with."
- Rolling Stone

The Secret Sisters initiate many new traditions on their second album, Put Your Needle Down, produced by T Bone Burnett. The duo of Laura and Lydia Rogers has certainly come a long way from their critically acclaimed 2010 self-titled debut and an even longer way from their childhood in Florence, Alabama, just outside of the legendary music mecca Muscle Shoals. Embracing myriad styles and focusing on songwriting this time around, their growth becomes obvious within both the music and the title. With a little guidance from the legendary Burnett, they harnessed a newfound spark which fuels the album. Stirring up a gumbo of country, Americana, blues, folk and gospel, Put Your Needle Down simmers with an elegant vision.

"Put Your Needle Down is symbolic of many different things. There’s a rebirth of the vinyl trend going on, but it really represents the fact that we’re not little girls anymore. We want to put the needle down. Our mom isn’t still sewing our clothes. We’re doing our own thing."
- Lydia Rogers

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
