This album features two different orchestras under two conductors performing world premiere recordings of works by Romanian composer Anatol Vieru. The Symphony No. 6 is presented by the Romanian Radio Symphony Orchestra, led by Horia Andreescu, recorded in 1995. The Memorial was recorded in 1999 by the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra with conductor Ludovic Bács.
