"... mapped out (Brian) Wilson's vision: to combine Chuck Berry's rock & roll guitar with intricate vocal harmonies ... a thrill ... you can hear Wilson's confidence and abilities grow ..."
- Rolling Stone

"... a wonderful second step for the Beach Boys ... given its place in time, Surfin' USA was a remarkable achievement ... a giant step toward becoming one of the great bands in American rock & roll history."
- Blogcritics.org

The second release from the Beach Boys, Surfin' USA is the first of three albums the band put out in 1963. Surfin' USA was a huge success: it marked the group's first gold album, peaking at number two and spending 78 weeks on the US charts. The self-titled single was also their biggest hit to date, making it to number three. This is the stereo version of the album.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
