"... continued the advancement of Brian Wilson’s studio technique and musical vision ... the title track was the first and one of the best of Wilson’s emotional ballads ... an excellent effort ... still worth seeking out and giving a listen even 45 years later."
- Blogcritics.org

Surfer Girl, the third album from the Beach Boys, was the band's second release of 1963 and Brian Wilson's first solo production. The title track, the first song ever written by a teenage Wilson, went to number seven while the flip side, Little Deuce Coupe, peaked at number 15 and remains the band's most successful B-side. The gorgeous ballad In My Room has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and is included on the Rolling Stone list of the 500 greatest songs of all time at number 212. This version contains both the mono and stereo mixes.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
