This release marks the eighth in the Legacy of the March series by the Texas A&M University Wind Symphony. The purpose of this series, started in 1999, is to record many of the great marches composed for wind band from around the world, both famous and lesser known. Enjoying immense success and popularity since the beginning of the project, these albums have served as a reference for music educators and provide a rousing listening experience for march enthusiasts. Many of the marches were prepared in editions specifically for the recording sessions by conductor Dr. Timothy Rhea.
