Award-winning guitarist Aleksandr Tsiboulski performs these pieces based on the original manuscripts composed by Manuel Ponce, a lifelong friend and collaborator of guitar virtuoso Andrés Segovia. Their earliest artistic partnership is included here, the witty and playful Sonata ‘Mexicana’. Also contained on the album is the remarkable Sonate romantique, almost like a lost work by Schubert.
