On her debut album Playtime!, young percussionist Sabrina Ma creates a cinematically strange new world featuring bizarre illumination, enchanting cicada sounds and rattling bones. The winner of the 2013 German Music Competition presents works by great contemporary composers Steve Reich and Brian Ferneyhough as well as music by lesser known artists, including world premiere recordings composed especially for this recording. Ma is joined on this programme by vocalist Rilli Willow, harpsichordist Olga Zheltikova, guitarist Jan Schöwer and fellow percussionist Alexandros Giovanos.
