This remastered reissue combines two classic 1950s album from Dave Brubeck: 1958's Jazz Impressions of Eurasia, influenced by and recorded following the quartet's extensive world touring, along with 1959's Gone with the Wind, a thematic album paying tribute to the state of Georgia. Brubeck is backed by his longtime bandmates Paul Desmond on alto sax and drummer Joe Morello on both sessions, with bassist Joe Benjamin on the earlier album and Gene Wright on the second release.
