A production of the high end 2xHD mastering lab, it includes almost an hour of expertly chosen audiophile music, as well as test tones, instrument resonances, stage perspectives, noises and a system burn-in track to help properly set up, enhance and tweak sound systems to ensure maximum performance.

Project concept: René Laflamme Mastering: René Laflamme Narration: Yaël Brandeis, VP 2xHD Album cover concept: André Perry Graphic Artist: Sylvie Labelle Executive Producer: André Perry For the 2xHD mastering of the recordings on this album, the original 1/4”, 15 ips CCIR master tapes were played on a Nagra-T modified with high- end tube playback electronics, wired with OCC silver cable from the play- back head direct to a Telefunken EF806 tube. The Nagra T has one of the best transports ever made with four direct drive motors, two pinch rollers and a tape tension head. An analog transfer was made for each high res sampling. 192kHz was done using MSB Platinum Studio ADC plus DSD was done using dCS 905 and dCS Vivaldi clock DSD2 was done using Ayre QA9pro

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. What do I need for playback?
