These historic remastered recordings feature the legendary Fritz Reiner leading the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra on works by Liebermann, Strauss and Schuman. The programme's closing work, Schuman's Prayer in Time of War, was recorded live in New York in March 1943.
