How Can You Mend A Broken Heart

On her first album in a decade, Ronnie Spector pays tribute to the British Invasion with a selection of songs chosen to reflect the sounds coming out of the UK during the early 1960s when her own group the Ronettes was rocketing up the charts. Produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter and musician Scott Jacoby (Vampire Weekend, Sia, Coldplay), English Heart showcases the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's legendary vocals as she covers the Beatles, the Kinks, the Animals, Gerry & the Pacemakers and of course the Rolling Stones, represented by a reworked version of an obscure 1965 song Keith Richards co-wrote for Spector, I'd Much Rather Be With The Boys, updated for this collection as I'd Much Rather Be With The Girls. "They would write and do stuff on the bus. All bands back then they would write on napkins or anything they could get their hands on. I had no idea they had written this song. Two months ago my managers brought it to my attention ... I just changed it to I'd Much Rather Be With The Girls. You know my past life. I think everybody knows who I am singing about. There is a line in the song: 'I don't need you anymore.' By listening to the lyrics I think you'll understand why I'd much rather be with the girls."

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
