Eckart Runge and Jacques Ammon, the two members of cello project, have elated international audiences with their high level of creativity shown in their original arrangements and repertoire that ranges from tango to jazz. This album features original cello and arrangements of popular film music by Nino Rota, Charlie Chaplin, Bernard Herrmann, Tom Waits and Dmitri Shostakovich, among others. Even black and white films become colourful in these interpretations and Technicolor scores acquire the selectivity of old silent film roles.
