Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist Reinaldo Brahn composed 14 original songs for this album, all in Portuguese except for one track in English. Veteran percussionist and producer Jim Brock shares front cover credit with Brahn for a good reason: his brilliant performance here compliments Brahn's blend of jazz, samba, bossa nova, funk and Brazilian pop. Brasileiro Soul was engineered by Grammy winner "Professor" Keith O. Johnson.
