Born Keren Ann Zeidel in Israel, Keren Ann has devoted her life and career to songwriting and storytelling. This album showcases her growth in that regard: her compositions display empathy for the characters she gives life to, while a little bit of herself always creeps through in the tales she spins. Crafted in Brooklyn and Paris, You're Gonna Get Love is a gallery of tenderly sketched portraits, with songs that reveal flames of the past still burning bright, an all-too-charming bad boy, an impossible love story, a mother whose sons have gone to war and a nostalgia for places now out of reach.
