"... probably isn’t quite what fans are expecting from the rock legend ... there’s really no mistaking the voice that powered classics including Dream On and Cryin' for anyone else. The result is, maybe not exactly country, but it’s certainly country with a refreshing twist of Steven Tyler and something that his fans and fans of contemporary country should enjoy."
- Taste of Country

"... I am more than just a little pleased with the result. Hell, let me say this. I am outright impressed ... he’s doing exactly the kind of music here that a lot of Nashville attempts to do on a daily basis. But, with his style, there’s an air of believability that makes it work and work well ... Tyler put in a lot of hard work and dedication ... one of the top albums by a male vocalist this year so far from Nashville. Give this disc an honest listen. I have a feeling you’re going to like it as much as I do."
- Sounds Like Nashville

Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler ventures out on his own for the first time with this country-flavoured solo project, co-produced by studio luminaries including T Bone Burnett, Dan Huff, Marti Fredriksen and Jaren Johnston from The Cadillac Three. Tyler co-wrote most of the original songs on the album, which incliudes a reworking of the Aerosmith hit Janie's Got A Gun. He also covers Janis Joplin's Piece Of My Heart, backed by the Loving Mary Band.

"I headed down to Nashville last spring to start working on this project, wrote some kick ass songs with some of Music City’s finest songwriters and now we get to share them with the world ... country music is the new rock ‘n’ roll. It’s not just about porches, dogs and kicking your boots up. It’s a whole lot more. It’s about being real."

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
