Digital Booklet
Almost a year after the release of French house producer The Avener's platinum debut comes this limited-edition double album version complete with five unreleased bonus tracks and remixes. The Avener travels the frontiers between genres, periods and styles: between music for listening and music for dancing; between underground and high-end pop. The ghost producer of many club hits, Tristan Casara adopted the identity The Avener when he decided to re-embrace the pleasure of music for its own sake, indulging his early love of piano and melodies, his rich, eclectic, multilayered musical culture and deep house, an antidote to the mechanical chill that has been creeping into electro. And while The Avener wrote his own music, he also also covers John Lee Hooker, Mazzy Star, the Be Good Tanyas, Andy Bey and Adam Cohen in a mosaic of seminal blues, underground folk, nocturnal pop, ironic rock and the work of forgotten artists from the '70s and '80s, exploring secret paths of memory. The album includes two versions of Fade Out Lines, a number one hit in Germany, marking the first time in ages that a French artist has achieved that level of success in Germany, especially with such a startling single.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
