On this album, Leonardo García Alarcón and the Millenium Orchestra recreate a pivotal concert Mozart presented in Vienna in March 1783 which played a considerable role building his reputation in the imperial capital. It is obvious from the programme that Mozart wanted to be heard on earlier compositions as well as his more recent works. Although he performed his concertos, he also improvised keyboard variations and even a fugue, since the emperor was in attendance. This historic concert can now be rediscovered thanks to this recording.
