This fifth solo album from Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft takes socio-political hot topics such as the Syrian refugee crisis and government surveillance as its inspiration, with Ashcroft employing metaphor and symphonic grandiosity to deliver his powerful message. This is his first solo album since his 2010's solo project album, United Nations of Sound, and also his first main studio album since 2006's, Keys to the World.
