"The works collected in this volume were composed between 2006 and 2014, and represent a sample and synthesis of the various sound searches in which I have ventured in these years of making music. In these works you can listen to music close to the folk roots, as in Monothems 1 and 5, or in Monotheme 4, where Latin American rhythms such as the tonada and the milonga respectively appear; and at the same time, sonorous and timbral explorations are presented, as in the case of Domingo, which responds to a search more typical of the music of contemporary written tradition. At some diffuse point between these two expressive spheres is my music, giving rise to singing, rhythm, open harmony and the search for new tonal possibilities. The Monothems were developed as a theme with variations, where each one of them seeks to develop specific technical aspects of the instrument. Estampa expands the treatment of variations on the guitar, putting into music an interpretation of the work that motivated its composition: Capricho 43 by Francisco Goya, 'The dream of reason produces monsters.' And Domingo, a work for two guitars, recreates in sound the walk down the street that I live covered with leaves in any June after the first rains. Música para Guitarra is a valuable opportunity to present these works for the instrument, in a story that unfolds an expressive arc of progressive technical, formal and sonic complexity." - Guillermo Eisner

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
