Digital Booklet
"... there is lots to sing along to here, not least a ditty like Snapchat, a happy groover that lacks only the tinkle and chat of a background cocktail party to distinguish it from some choice live Ramsey Lewis of the ’60s ... an enjoyable and thoroughly jolly album ..." - TheJazzBreakfast.com Finnish pianist and composer Iiro Rantala recruited the dream team of American drummer Peter Erskine and Swedish jazz bassist Lars Danielsson for this album, a multifaceted summary of a happy and resoundingly creative phase of Rantala’s life. The project shines the spotlight on songwriting, with Rantala contending that the theme, the writing and the mood of each composition are paramount. Seven of the pieces are by Rantala himself, three tracks by the players in the trio and three more by others who, in their different ways, have helped to construct Rantala’s appealing musical personality: J.S. Bach, Kenny Barron and Jimi Hendrix. "The basic concept is to avoid the basic concept of the jazz piano trio and to make it more groovy, with simple melodies." - Iiro Rantala

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
