Händel's L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato is a shepherd’s ode that illustrates the head-to-head of two contrasting personalities joined by a third person, Il Moderato, who aims to reconcile the duelling characters with sober rationality. This live double album from the Chor und Orchester der J.S. Bach-Stiftung was recorded in Switzerland in 2015 and features soprano Joanne Lunn, tenor Charles Daniels and bass Peter Harvey.
