"Five Stars ... Karadaglic has a feather-light touch, honeyed tone and warm bass. Musical details are well thought through ... a thoroughly recommendable, beautiful disc."
- BBC Music Magazine
"The orchestration, spotlighting the superb playing of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, is colourful and evocative ... Miloš's performance is flawless."
- Sinfini Music
“Editor's Choice. This is a thoughtful and durable interpretation that will stand the test of time ... it's in Rodrigo's Invocacion y danza that we find Karadaglić at his soloistic and elegant best.”
- Gramophone
Guitarist Miloš Karadaglić's 2014 album Aranjuez is his first concerto recording, paying tribute to the great Spanish composers and musicians who placed the modern classical guitar firmly on the international stage. The album features perhaps the two most significant and popular works ever written for guitar and orchestra: Joaquin Rodrigo’s seminal Concierto de Aranjuez and his Fantasía para un gentilhombre. Also included here is de Falla’s influential Homenaje for solo guitar, written in 1920 in memory of Claude Debussy’s death, a guitar arrangement of de Falla’s flamenco-infused Danza del Molinero and Rodrigo’s Invocation y Danza. For the recording of Aranjuez, Miloš was joined by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Yannick Nézet-Séguin at world famous Abbey Road Studios in London.
"Yannick’s energy is infectious and our collaboration was the most electric experience.”
- Miloš Karadaglić
