Grammy Award – Best Classical Compendium, 2017
Grammy Award – Best Contemporary Classical Composition, 2017 – Viola Concerto
Giancarlo Guerrero leads the Nashville Symphony Orchestra on works by Pulitzer Prize and Grammy-winning American composer Jennifer Higdon, all recorded live in 2016. The album features the world premieres of Higdon's wonderfully expressive concertos for viola and oboe which highlight the unique textures and sonorities of these frequently overlooked solo instruments, played here by Roberto Díaz and James Button respectively. All Things Majestic is a four-movement suite vividly capturing the breathtaking beauty of the American landscape.
