Digital Booklet
On this follow-up to 2014's Fragile, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Robert Len continues to enchant with his personal style. Through his warm interpretations on the flugelhorn, trumpet, guitar, flute and the many other instruments he has mastered, blended with his unique approach to cool jazz, Len creates an extraordinary acoustic balance allowing the emotion of his music to shine through. Producer André Perry’s collaboration makes the album a sonic tour de force where each colour selected is essential and everything has its place, an admirable example of Count Basie’s motto "less is more." Mastered in 2xHD’s proprietary Fusion Mastering process, the recording further benefits from the process’s quality of integrating the properties of analogue and digital technologies for an innovative, enveloping listening experience.
192 kHz / 24-bit, 96 kHz / 24-bit PCM and 11.2896 MHz, 5.6448 MHz, 2.8224 MHz DSD – 2xHD Studio Masters

Tracks 1 - 11 – 44.1 kHz / 24-bit PCM, mastered in 192 kHz / 24-bit, 96 kHz / 24-bit PCM and 11.2896 MHz, 5.6448 MHz, 2.8224 MHz DSD In the ongoing evolution of its propriety process, 2xHD has progressed to a phase called 2xHD Fusion Mastering which benefits from the finest analogue technology joined with state-of-the-art digital technology, without the digital noise. The mastering chain consists of a selection of high end vacuum tube equipment which includes a modified vacuum tube NAGRA HD DAC (DSD) making it possible to obtain a real analogue sound from a digital master. The 2xHD Fusion Mastering system is powered by a super capacitor power supply, using a new technology that lowers the digital noise found in the lowest level of the spectrum; something that was not possible before. The resulting signal is then transformed into high resolution formats by recording it in DSD 11.2 MHz using Merging Technologies’ Horus A to D converter, which is also powered by a super capacitor power supply. All analogue and digital cables are the most state of the art available today.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
