Playing a unique brand of Brazilian jazz, the Barcelona-based Grupo Quebrante displays glimmers of the influences and roots of each of the members. As its name indicates, the group seeks to cross boundaries, a result of exploration and understanding of not only the indigenous sounds of Brazil, but also of the many facets of jazz and improvised music. This album includes two songs that appeared earlier on the band's 2014 debut EP.
