Turning their attention to Martinů, brothers Stephano and Francesco Parrino and pianist Alessandro Maragoni present a rich and engaging collection of chamber music by the the great Czech composer, including piano trios, the Violin Sonata No. 1, H. 182, and the Flute Sonata, H. 306. Exploring Martinů’s experimentations with neoclassicism and jazz, this release displays Trio Albatros’s lyrical and character-filled playing at its finest.
