In February 2010 Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats released their debut album Vol. 1. Frontman Kevin Starrs wrote, performed and recorded the entire album himself and distributed 30 copies of the album on CD-R. When the band was to achieve cult fame the following year, the myth of Vol. 1 grew, becoming highly sought after by collectors, making this a hotly anticipated reissue. Starrs personally oversees the remixing and remastering on this release, staying true to the album's DIY roots.
