Romanian-French pianist Dana Ciocarlie undertakes the expansive challenge of recording the complete solo piano works of Robert Schumann in live performance with this project. One of the most formative figures of the Romantic piano repertoire, Schumann's prolific output has resulted in a recording collection that spans a total of 15 releases. The eleventh volume sees Ciocarlie bring together further Klaviersonate für die Jugend, Op. 118 as well Schumann's free variation studies on a theme by Beethoven and the delightful Humoreske, Op. 20.
