This release from Welsh pianist Christopher Williams explores two themes: Brahms and the 19th-century obsession with transcription. It brings together two Brahms works—the Trio for Violin, Horn & Piano in E Flat Major and Clarinet Quintet in B Minor—both of which were arranged for solo piano by the violinist and conductor Paul Klengel in transcriptions which are both sensitive and vivid.
