A violin album performed by Chie Hasegawa, who is active in many fields, such as performing with famous artists, performing on stage, composing, arranging, and teaching. In addition to Kreisler's famous pieces, Dvorak's "Romance", Fibich's "Poem", and Wagner's "Album Brat" (original: piano accompaniment, orchestra accompaniment) are transformed for violin+string quartet version by herself. These pieces in this formation are interposed at each appropriate points in CD, and their sound colors are just as soft as the sky at twilight. Tchaikovsky's Andante Cantabile (Symphony No.5, 2nd movement) is also arranged by original completely. This piece is often called Tchaikovsky's version of "Fate Symphony". But, the part appearing the theme of "fate" in the middle is erased and replaced with a sweet "love song" for only violin and piano. The atmosphere fits to the other love theme pieces by Elgar and Kreisler. This album consists of violin solo pieces, pieces accompanied by string quartet and finally, the original piece "A Moment" [Shizu Kokoro naku Hana no Chiru Ram]. It seems that she tries to express the sophistication of a Japanese melody in modern way. This is an album by a composer who is not limited to a performer, and although she is a solid violinist, it reveals the transformation of Western classical music, making us look forward to the future of the classical music world.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
