This world premiere recording is a collaboration between Shanghai-based pianist Jenny Q Chai and New York composer Nils Vigeland, who present five works that span 40 years in their date of composition. From the canonic processes of the earliest piece here, all in due time, to the most recent, Allora e ora, this 2014 exclusive digital release is an exploration of the unique resonances of the piano, especially those created through the use of the sostenuto pedal.
