The worldwide success of well-known grandmasters of the acoustic guitar, above all Tommy Emmanuel, proves that the un-amplified guitar can also inspire many fans of folk and pop, flamenco and neo-classical music. Ladislav Pazdera has also dedicated himself entirely to the acoustic guitar and belongs to the generation of musicians who grew up without genre boundaries. Accordingly, on his new solo album Chiaroscuro, as in previous projects, he processes stylistically diverse inspirations into very personal, touching and expressive pieces. Their variety of timbres and moods is great, and the range between finely engraved passages and dynamic, rhythmic temperament is impressive.
