Award-winning film composer Helena Czajka provides the original score to the 2021 documentary film Unseen Skies, which documents the work of artist Trevor Paglen as he undertakes one of his most ambitious projects, 'Orbital Reflector', launching an artwork into space to highlight the global impact of technology in the 21st century.
For the score, Helena Czajka was given access to NASA’s library of recorded sounds in space. Helena created a unique and experimental film score by manipulating these sounds to create music. Every cue in the film incorporates at least one NASA sound recording, and many are made up of only NASA space sounds.
