Kiki Dee’s second album for Elton John’s Rocket Records label was produced by Elton’s producer, the legendary Gus Dudgeon (also producer for David Bowie, Joan Armatrading Chris Rea and many more). Released in September 1974, and credited to The Kiki Dee Band, the album starts with the title track, a Top 20 hit for Kiki and the band, and a perennial favourite. The songwriting credits are shared between Kiki and keyboard player Bias Boshell. This new edition has been expertly mastered by Barry Grint at AIR Mastering from the original stereo tapes using precision half-speed mastering. Half-speed mastering is a vinyl cutting technique that improves groove accuracy and transient information creating an incredibly detailed stereo image with a natural high frequency response. This special 18-track Deluxe set features the original album alongside five non-album A- and B-sides, and PWL’s Phil Harding’s previously unreleased mixes of “I’ve Got The Music In Me”.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
