The star-studded ‘father and son duo’ – SAXON’s Biff Byford and Seb Byford (Naked Six, Sun King) - have come together once again to produce Heavy Water’s sophomore album, Dreams Of Yesterday.
With thunderous basslines and haunting vocals, with riffs soaked in blues and grunge, yet rich with the sound of classic hard rock, Dreams Of Yesterday is a skilfully executed slice of rock ‘n’ roll that refuses to let you go.
Written, recorded and produced by Seb Byford and Biff Byford, Dreams Of Yesterday is comprised of ten songs of catchy hooks and incredible vocal harmonies. The title track, inspired by the music scene of 1965 West Coast America, takes you on a journey back to a time of great musical revolution, whilst the stunningly contemplative “Never Love Again” is a looming spectre of heartache and disillusionment.
With Seb on guitar, Biff on bass and rhythm duties and both providing their vocal talents, the foundations for Heavy Water’s blend of vintage and modern rock sound are set in both that incredible father/son chemistry and a lifetime of know-how and experiences.
